DAS Passive Branch Loss Budget

Sum measured or manufacturer-specified passive losses along one DAS branch and show each loss contribution.

Inputs

Inputs

Range: 0–100 dB

Enter feeder loss to the branch in dB at the frequency being budgeted. Use measured or manufacturer data.

Range: 0–20

Enter a whole-number count of splitter stages on this branch. Do not also include their loss in feeder loss.

Range: 0–50 dB

Enter the insertion loss for the selected splitter path, in dB. Use the exact device and port path.

Range: 0–50

Enter a whole-number count of couplers or taps encountered on this branch.

Range: 0–50 dB

Enter the selected through-path or tap-path insertion loss per coupler, in dB; do not use an unused-port isolation value.

Range: 0–100

Count connector pairs and splices actually in the RF path. Do not count a connector twice as both a pair and a splice.

Range: 0–10 dB

Enter loss per counted connector pair or splice in dB from the project acceptance value or component specification.

Result

Connector/splice contribution (dB)
0.800
Coupler/tap contribution (dB)
12.000
Feeder contribution (dB)
